One new spirit doll has been added.  I found two appropriate twigs to represent the arms and legs for the doll below and used Model Magic for the head. I added painted excelsior for hair and clothing with recycled dryer sheets for her skirt. The finishing touch was a feather in her hair.  Her name is "Riona".

Two new spirit dolls for you today.  "True Gold" and "Goldie". I am experimenting with new faces for my spirit dolls.  "True Gold" measures 12" tall x 7" wide. "Goldie" measures 12" tall and 7" wide. These can easily be hung on the wall with just a push pin, since they are very lightweight. They each have feathers in their hair in reference to Emily Dickenson's line of poetry "Hope is the thing with feathers". I started making these in 2020 to raise my own spirits during lockdown. My intention was to present exuberance and whimsy in the midst of isolation.  "When hope enters in, With wings and feathers flying. Hold on with your heart".
The hope spirit dolls were inspired by a line of poetry by Emily Dickinson: "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in your soul - and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all"

"True Gold" is above. $75
"Goldie"is below. $60

I have also added winged goddesses to my inventory.  On the right is a cocoon version.

A new haiku for these spirit dolls:  "Fragile thoughts transcend.
Hoping for new beginnings. Hope for endings, too".
